Corrections, disputes and removals for your listing

Malaysia Homestay Guide is an independent directory of homestay businesses across Malaysia. We build listings from publicly available business information and compute every homestay's score and review summary by applying one fixed, published rubric to Google reviews. Listings are free to be included. Payment never changes a score or moves a business up in the rankings. This page explains how to correct factual errors, dispute a score, or request removal. Correcting factual details

Factual fields on your listing include your business name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, and services offered. We fix these when you provide the correct value alongside something to verify it against, such as your official website or your current Google Business Profile. Once a correction is made, it stays in place through future data refreshes.

Disputing your score

Your score is generated by formula, never edited by hand. A dispute is a claim that something in our input data is wrong: the profile we matched to your business belongs to a different business, reviews were attributed to you incorrectly, or our summary of what reviewers wrote does not match what they actually said. We re-check the sources and regenerate your listing. A dispute is not a request for a higher number or a second opinion on the score itself.

Requesting removal

We remove listings when a homestay is permanently closed, when a listing is a duplicate, or when a business falls outside our scope. Our monthly verification cycle also catches and removes closed businesses automatically. If your listing is accurate and in scope, we may decline your removal request, and we will explain why plainly.

How long it takes

Every request receives an acknowledgment within 5 business days. Confirmed removals are completed within 7 days. Requests we cannot grant come back with the reason stated.
